PARTY LIKE YOU'RE 5 YEARS OLD!!!

Carter's long awaited birthday finally arrived last Thursday. He was so excited, he had to check with me periodically throughout the day just to make sure he really was 5 and not 4 anymore! He woke the rest of us up at 6 am shouting "It's my birthday!" Kaleb & I tried to stay in bed as long as we could but we heard wrapping paper being ripped to shreds in the front room so we thought we better join the party. Carter recently started riding his bike without training wheels, but the bike he had was so tiny, he looked like a little clown, so we thought we better get him a bigger one! Along with that he had also requested specific Iron Man toys, so he pretty much knew what was in all his presents, but it didn't make him any less thrilled! We waited until Saturday to have his party so all his grandparents could be there. He was also surprised to see his cousin Tallon! I got a pinata not knowing how safe it would be to let those wild little kids swing at it with a bat, but luckily it turned out to have ribbons they could pull instead. They loved all the candy, and I'm sure their parents loved us sending them all home with bags full of sugar and a mouth full of cavities!

SUNSHINE AND WATER!!!

We got to spend the weekend boating with Grandma and Granddad Hansen on beautiful Palisades. I was a little worried about Tytan missing his nap and becoming a complete monster, but he absolutely loved it, and fell right to sleep helping Granddad drive the boat. Carter got to hang out with cousin Tallon, Kaleb got to wake board, and I got to soak up the sun. What an awesome day!

WHERE'S MY TREASURE?

Kaleb has been working in WY this summer, and will be for the next year or so. The first weekend he came home, he had made Carter a cute little map and took him on a treasure hunt. They searched the front and back yards, and the entire house until Carter found his treasure in the coat closet (a bag of cookies). Now every weekend that daddy's home, Carter expects a "treasure".

OUCH!!!

Well I guess it goes without saying... little boys = unexpected trips to the emergency room! We thought Tytan was going to be our quiet, reserved one, but he is just as loud and energetic as his older brother! The combination of the two can make you crazy, but they also create some good laughs! This battle wound happened last Saturday at a sporting goods store. The clumsy little stink just tripped on his own feet and landed face first into the corner of a clothing rack! I swear I can't turn my back for two seconds!
